CLIFF DOWNS

Cliff Downs is an Emmy award winning and multiple award nominee songwriter, composer and producer who has had success in Pop, Country, Contemporary Christian and Jazz. Signed as an artist to Atlantic Records by legendary founder Ahmet Ertegun, Downs went on to have songs featured in TV shows such as Modern Family, MacGyver, American Idol, NBC Sochi Olympics, ABC New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, CBS Super Bowl, among others. His songs have been recorded by the likes of Wynonna, Gabby Barrett, B.J. Thomas and Legendary Rock Group Foreigner’s recent Greatest Hits and he has written and produced #1 songs for Capitol Records Jazz great Richard Elliot. One of the highlights of a career that has spanned many genres was coproducing the single, “One Heart at a Time” featuring Olivia NewtonJohn, Michael McDonald, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, and others. He also cowrote the songs for a musical that was featured at the world-famous Pasadena Playhouse.
